3 of Spades ("the App") is a multiplayer card game developed by Consulen LLC. We respect your privacy and are committed to protecting your personal data. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your rights.
Data We Collect
- Account Information: When you sign in with Apple or create an account, we receive your name and email address (if you choose to share them). Apple's "Hide My Email" is fully supported.
- Game Data: Game history, scores, statistics, win/loss records, and leaderboard rankings.
- Device Information: Device type, operating system version, and app version for crash reporting and compatibility.
- Online Multiplayer Data: Player display name, game actions, and connection metadata required for real-time gameplay.
Data We Do NOT Collect
- We do not collect location data
- We do not collect contacts or address book data
- We do not collect health or fitness data
- We do not use third-party advertising or tracking SDKs
- We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with third parties for marketing purposes
How We Use Your Data
- Authentication: To identify you and maintain your account across sessions
- Gameplay: To match you with other players, maintain game state, and display your name to opponents
- Statistics: To calculate and display your performance metrics and leaderboard position
- Improvement: Aggregated, anonymized gameplay data may be used to balance AI difficulty and improve game mechanics
Data Storage & Security
- Solo Mode: All game data is stored locally on your device using iOS secure storage. No data is transmitted to any server.
- Online Mode: Game data is stored on AWS servers (Amazon Web Services) in the United States, encrypted at rest and in transit using TLS 1.3.
- Credentials: Authentication tokens are stored in the iOS Keychain, Apple's most secure on-device storage.
- Retention: Game history is retained for 1 year. Account data is retained until you delete your account.
Third-Party Services
Children's Privacy
3 of Spades is rated 4+ and does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. The game contains no gambling with real money, no in-app purchases of loot boxes, and no user-generated content. If you believe a child under 13 has provided personal information, please contact us to have it removed.
Your Rights
- Access: You can view all your data within the app (Profile → Statistics)
- Deletion: You can delete your account and all associated data via Settings → Delete Account, or by contacting us
- Portability: You can export your game history from the app
- Correction: You can update your display name at any time in Settings
Guest Mode
If you play as a Guest (without signing in), no personal information is collected or transmitted. All data remains on your device only. Guest players cannot access online multiplayer or leaderboards.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this privacy policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes through the app or via email. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
