Yes! Tanni is completely free to download and play. The app is supported by non-intrusive ads via Google AdMob.
Tanni runs on iPhone (iOS 16+), iPad (iPadOS 16+), and Mac with Apple Silicon (via "Designed for iPad" on the Mac App Store).
Not yet! Online multiplayer is planned for a future update. Currently you can play against 3 AI opponents.
Tanni is a special bid of 30 points — the maximum. When you call Tanni, there's no second deal, no trump, and you play with just 4 cards. It's high-risk, high-reward: match points are doubled!
After winning the bid, you select one card from your hand as the hidden trump. It's placed face-down and removed from your hand. When someone can't follow the lead suit, trump "opens" — the hidden card returns to your hand and must be played immediately if it's your turn. If trump is never opened, those card points still go to the bid team.
In Tanni, card hierarchy differs from standard games. Jack is the highest card (strength 7), followed by 9, A, 10, K, Q, 8, 7. This means a Jack always beats an Ace within the same suit!
Game data is stored locally on your device. If you delete the app, data is permanently removed. We do not store data on any servers, so recovery is not possible after deletion.
Currently there is no ad-free option. A premium ad-free upgrade may be offered in a future version.
